This weeks them for literacy is celebration and festivals 2020
I really enjoy learning about Diwali because before we started this literacy them I new nothing about Diwali but now I no what is actually is, Diwali is a five day festival of lights. The Mahavira's created Diwali. I think I did well on explaining what Diwali is and why we celebration it and who created it!
In the pitcher above I have expanded about what Diwali is I have also done a planing witch is down below!
next time I think I could at a little more detail and and maybe a little color

sports and athletics

 Walt: this week I have been learning about sports and athletics 

one of the tasked I had to do was to do was a netball kit we had to put what the fount of the top looks like and what it looks like at the back and then add a netball its was pretty fun probably because I play netball.

I think I did well on adding lots of colors and explaining what it is and also making the lettering BIG and BOLD so it will stand out from a distance, next time I could add more detail for what actually goes on the top like there netball team name or there logo more stuff like that! feel free to comment down below on what you think I need to work on and what you think I did well , make sure to check out some more of my blog post thank you so much for reading. :)

WALT: this week I have be leaning about sports and Athletics 🏈🎳⚽⚾🏀🏐🏒🥇

as you know that I have been learning about lot of sport for one of the tasked I had to do was to recreate the all blacks logo. As you can see down below I have put two rugby balls on each other just to give it more detail and then I wrote all blacks in BIG bold LeTtErS at the side of the rugby ball!

I think I did well on making the lettering bolder and bigger so it will stand out better from like a mile away I also think I did well on putting two rugby balls to make it more effector, I think that next time I could add more colors like bright colors, thank you for reading my blog post about recreating your own all blacks logo

Term 3 ako reflection

Hello jasmine here

I am going to be showing you 3 things that I have done this year. The first thing that i'm going to show you is my maths. So as you can see down below is a photo of my work and i'm going to be explaining how I did it.

• 1. The first question is 3x10= what... Well its easy because you just have to count 3 10s so 10 that one ten 10 that's another and then we just need one more 10 OK so there we go then we count the 3 tens 10 20 30 so it =30 so 3x10=30 pretty easy aye.
• 2.The second one is even more easy 8x0 every time you see a times table that has a 0 that means it is going to = 0 So for example 4x0=0 what about 10x0 that also = 0 5x10=50 just because it has a 0  next to the five does not mean that it is going to be a 0 if it just a 0 on it's own it will = 0 but if it has another number in front of the 0 that means that it is not going to = 0 for example 4x10=40 (the 3rd question is the same it will =0 )
• 4.This is the same as the question above but it is a higher number 17x0 its going to =0 because its 0 just because it a higher number does not mean the answer will change if it has a 0!

(I only did a few because if I did all of them that would take me a while)

Now i'm going to be showing you my Literacy Work 

So this is my Literacy Work I have done sometime this year. I really enjoyed doing this because I got to do wonder woman and she is my favourite super hero! This task was fun so all I had to do was talk about what wonder woman looks like\what she wears, what is she known to say, what is wonder woman characteristics and personality like. I like how I put photos of wonder woman  in the middle. I also like how I went on flaming text and found a cool font to say wonder woman I choose a nice light bold blue one! (As you can see just above the photos of wonder woman) Next time I think I could add just a bit more detail to make it sound better and be more descriptive. I could also use some bright colors to make everything stand out more! Like with the text and font and make it BOLD to stand out from a mile away 

Now I get to show you a piece of my work I have decided to show you my recycling poster this took me two and a half days to do I put my all in to this - I hope you like it. 

So this is my poster I really liked doing this because I love creating things. I really like how I added lots of details and colors. I looked on google to find a background and I found the most amazing one which had all the colors of the bins in a row, it went green, yellow & red. I loved the way it turned out. Then I came up with a slogan 'Put waste in the right place' I really like the slogan I did I also like how I added lots of bright colors and how I listed what goes in each bin. At the bottom of the page I put the colors of the bin I think I put lots of interesting things on my poster !

learning about brands and logos

Walt this week we have been learning about brands and logos

So this week we had to write in our group writing doc about one of the logos that you have done I choose to do a skiing one I use the colors black and white because black represent control and white for snow I also said that down below in the little story. I think I did well because I think I use the right colors for my logo it make sense to use black and white I really like how I put a mountain with skies in the center of the mountain I also really like how I put the name of the company on the side of the mountain I really like how I have done my logo i'm very happy with it!

next time I think think I need to work on trying to do the group writing doc by myself.

Jas-Insects Attribute Organiser

 

hello this week I had to do a Insects Attribute Organiser this was fun because I got to see some insects that I have never seen before!

So as you can see I have put my work just at the top of this blog post so you can see some of the Insects I have done So I have done a butterfly, ladybird, giant weta,and more. Did you know that the giant weta's name stands for god of ugly things! That was my favorite fact about the giant weta! 

I think I did well on answering the questions by my self and trying my best I tried to add the most inserting facts and make my work sound as good as I could make it!! :)  For my opinion I don't think I need to work on anything. this week we had to do a bug\insects lollies 

this was one of my favorite things I did last week I enjoyed doing it because we got to design what we wanted the bugs lollies to be. I did Ant Lollipops! 🐜🐜🐜

I think next time I could add more detail and make it look even better then it does now! 

I think I did well on using my brain to think of a cool idea to do and my idea was doing ant lollipops

Jas-Crossword

Walt: this week I have been learning about bugs and different types of insects.

So this week I did this amazing crossword (I love doing crosswords this one was so fun this was one of my favorites) when I got it finished then I put in Miss McManus check off sheet so she could see It once she had seen it she would mark in green to say that I have done well if I get a orange that mean I need to work on it but if I got it red it just means she cant look at it so you have to put it in one of your folders. I got a green on this so I did well doing this peace of work! :) I think I need to work on using keywords to help me find the answers!

I think I did well on TRYING my best and asking for help when needed!

Hello Im jasmine and Im going to be talking about what I have been doing for literacy.

this weeks literacy theme is the 70s. we get a slide show and there is different stuff you can learn about and do.Some of the work is 1 star that means it should only take 5 to 10 minutes. If It Is 2 stars that means it should take a good 20 to 30 minutes or If It Is 3 stars It should take a hour or so.

Ok lets get to what I have Done so this week I have been working on my 70's Inventions slide show. I will be putting it down below for you to check out and have a little read about. I think I have done well on it because I tried my best and done some resherch and answered the question by my self and I said what I think the answers were. I think I need to work on making my sentences more inserting and make It to sound better when I read it well not just me everyone!

I really liked doing this because I got to lean new things and look at things I have never seen before!

This week I'm learning about myths and gods! I'm going to be honest its not my favorite thing to learn about but its still fun to do i have been doing Maori Creation Story we had to put the story in order! Then we had to read It and answer the Questions! after I fished answering all the questions I desired to decorate the front it looks like this...

I think I did well on doing this Maori Creation Story because I read the story and tried to answer all the questions and then I decorated the front to make It look inserting. I think i really need to work on putting my answers in FULL SENTENCES!! And I also think I need to work on focusing more on what I'm soused to be doing. Walt this week we have been learning about Electricity

This week I had to do a Scientist Attribute Organiser. It was so fun to do. I learnt heaps of new things About heaps of different famous people around the world Like georg ohm, Thomas edison,Benjamin Franklin, Thomas davenport and Prof Maxwell H.A. newman.

Thomas H. flowers. We had to research heaps of things about them people we had to research Stuff like this:What did they do that was imported like what they invented What year did they do it In 3 fact that you learnt about them For example georg ohm Came out with the Ohm's law The year he did that was 1827 and  three facts about him 

1. Ohm was born in Erlangen, Germany, and was the son of a locksmith.

2.Although not formally educated, Ohm's father had educated himself to a high level and taught his sons mathematics, physics, chemistry and philosophy.

 3. In 1800 to 1804 Ohm attended the Erlangen Gymnasium and in 1806 he accepted a position as a mathematics teacher in a school in Switzerland.

This week I have been learning about animals
 This week I had to do A comprehension based on Polar bears and penguins

I enjoyed doing it because the questions were very
fun and I really like reading the article because it's really
interesting and fun to read about! I will be putting my work down below so feel free to check it out. I will be putting the questions that I have answered and the article that I read. I really enjoyed doing this piece of work because I really enjoyed reading the article because It was so interesting and I learnt a lot of things about polar bears and penguins I learnt that polar bears Can swim for Ages And I also learnt that polar bears are warm Blooded.I learnt that penguins Don't have to go far down in the ocean to find fish. They stay near the edges to find the fish! I think I did well on reading the Article and answering the questions and tried really hard to answer the questions and try put more good work on my blog post that Im doing right now!! :)  I think I  did a really good job. I think I thanks I could have added more punctuation and more interesting words to make the sentences sound more interesting! :)

Walt this week we are learning about animals 🐯🐱🐶🐷🐄🐎 This week I am learning about animals. This week I have been doing an Animal Attribute Organiser. It has been so fun doing this. This is most probably my favourite one so far. As soon as I found out that this week we are learning about animals I was so happy because I love animals. With the Animal Attribute Organiser all we had to do is Say where the animal lives, what temperature they prefer, what they eat and More stuff like that. The three animals we had to do were A Bengal tiger ,Empire penguin, and then our favourite animal I did a cat because I have a black and white cat and his name is Cooper and he is 2 years old That is my cat in my box that I got my Chromebook in. It doesn't look so comfy! I will be putting my work down below for you to have a look at. I think I did well on adding some cute pictures in my Animal Attribute Organiser and also putting my all into doing this. Reading the questions well. Just trying my best. I think I need to work on Reading what I've written to make sure it all makes sense. Global Action Comprehension Questions:

Walt this week I am learning about global warming

this week I had to do a global action comprehension questions  it was quite fun and then it was quite hard it took me a little bit to get a hang of because some of the questions were quite hard we had to read this article about global warming all the answers were in it. There was 9 questions. After we had finished doing the work we had to put it in to miss McManus literacy work check off sheet well we had to link it in to that So the teachers can see it and mark it off they can either Mark at Red Orange or green red means they cannot open it orange means needs a bit more work and green means it's awesome and done. After a while I got a green. I will be putting my work I have done down below so make sure to check that out It's just my Global morning comprehension questions and what my answer were to the question. I think I did well on reading the article and trying to understand the questions and putting the answer I think on the global warning comprehension if you think there's something that I could have done better or something that you think I did really well make sure to comment  in the comments section. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments I think I need to improve on Relaxing a bit more when I'm reading it and try not to get stressed out if I didn't get a question right And just basically believe in myself more. ENERGY SAVING

We have been learning about your carbon footprint.  This week I did a Energy Saving Poster about how you can save energy and power. You can save energy by riding a bike instead of a car, turn off power when not in use or not needed, keep all power plug switch off and there is heaps more!!

I think I did well on  making the pitchers and not copying a pitcher of the web! 😁 I know the pitchers are not very good but at lest i tried.👍

I think I need to improve on adding more detail to the pitchers. Also using more interesting words 

to make it sound better.

This week we have learnt about global warming
what i have done so far i have done a Global warming animation it has been super fun!
I have also been doing a  poster about Global warming. Im going to my Global warming animation down  below! When I found out that this weeks  Literacy Work we will be doing Global warming! I did not no any thing about it at all. But after doing some reading about it i understand what Global warming is! Global warming is very interesting! I like learning about Global warming it is so fun fun and i no what Global warming is now!!!!
I think I need to work on using inserting words and adding more detail!
I think I did well on making the pitchers for the animation and telling some facts about it!

Walt: we are learning about DC and superheroes

This week we have learnt about DC and Superheroes! :)

This week I had to do a Character Y-Chart. I enjoyed It!
I did mine about Wonder Women!

Why did I do mine about Wonder Women?
I did mine about Wonder Women because she Is my favorite super hero!!

 Who Is your favorite super hero?

I think wonder women Is Spectacular,Incredible,and Trustworthy and MUCH more.

What I think I did well!!

• I went on flaming text and got that blue sign saying Wonder Women!
• I got heaps of pitchers that are Wonder Women and put them all together so It look a bit better!

• When I said what does Wonder Women look like?  I said she wares a red and blue outfit and a yellow head band with gold arm bands I added the right color to make It look a bit Brighter.

What I think I need to Improve on

• Taking my time
• Reading what the Instructions more then once so then I know what Im doing!

This week we have been learning  about DC and Superheroes!!
This week I have done jas Reading and comprehension  -  TWO SUPERHEROES  i have all ready done a blog post about this but I did not have the pitchers so these are the pitchers for my work that i have done! So we had to read this little story about batman and then a anther little story about superman!! This is the story we had to read!

So what we had to do to get this task finish!!

• Read about Batman and Superman 
• Read what the question were
• Answer the question 
•  Then answer the question in full sentences.
• Then had to put it in Miss McManus' Literacy Work Checklist sheet so miss McManus could see it and mark it Green Orange or Red 

what does red and green and orange mean?
well Red means Miss McManus cant open it!
Orange mean it needs more work! 
and last of all Green means it good!


thank you so much for looking at my work i have done i think i have done well on explaining how it all works  and used some colors to make it look a bit better and brighter i think i need to work on my punctuation and to make sure it all makes sens!

this week i had to do  Reading and comprehension  -  TWO SUPERHEROES the two superheroes were superman and batman my favorite was batman did you no batman is a human and superman is a alien i did not know that im so glad I did my  Reading and comprehension  because i lernt some think new and it is my new favorite DC/ superheros fact.
when you do your i hope you learn something new as well
i think i need to improve on  paying more attention to what i am doing.
